Time to Move on. Chignik Bay Lodge is in Good Hands!

Mary and I first want to express thanks to all our guests over the last 22 years, it has been a wonderful time filled with many exciting adventures and forming many great lifelong friendships. It is time for the next chapter in our lives and we move forward knowing that Chignik Bay Lodge is in great hands under the new ownership of Rick Miller. I flew to Chignik in May and met Rick and his brother. We had a nice stretch of weather and good fishing. Rick has plans to infuse some new ideas into Chignik Bay Lodge which all sound great to me. The beauty and great fishing will continue to be accessible and available and I look forward to returning for visits. Mary is recovering from Leukemia and doing very well. It has been a long, tough road that started in September 2022 after our return from Chignik.…

2020 Challenging but Rewarding

We were fortunate to be able to safely operate and have a successful 2020 season.  Our guests all were able to be tested for Covid 72 hours prior to arriving in Alaska and fly out to the village to enjoy great fishing and relaxation with us.  Temperatures were taken morning and evening and logged daily all summer, and asked the obligatory daily questions about how they were feeling.  It was all worth it as the Salmon, Halibut, and Ling Cod kept the rods bent and action steady.
